Keeping Up With The Kardashians is the biggest reality TV show in the world. People are absolutely fascinated by the lives of this matriarchal family. They have been in the public eye since 2007 and haven’t stopped. They are a bunch of ladies (and one brother) who have reached for the stars and have gone beyond.

From business ventures to makeup empires, these ladies certainly have a pulse on what the public need and want. Kim’s recent decision to study law surprised everyone, but she has already helped free 17 prisoners. The Kardashians are here to stay and make an impression on the world in more ways than one. Kris Fought For A Better Life

Many people don’t know this, but Kris Jenner wasn’t born excessively wealthy. She fought very hard for everything she has in her life – including her own life. When Kris was only seven years old, her parents divorced leaving her mother to raise the family until she remarried. As a child, Kris was diagnosed with a bone tumor that almost cost the loss of her leg. Luckily, the doctors were able to heal her.

Originally, Kris began her career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. She is of European descent having Scottish, Irish, English, Dutch and German blood, contributing to her exotic beauty. She married lawyer Robert Kardashian in 1978, who was put in the spotlight for the O.J. Simpson trial. They divorced in 1991, and were close, up till his death in 2003. Kendall became the highest paid model in 2017. She started modeling at the age of 14 when she was signed to Wilhelmina Models. Kim Is Studying To Be A Lawyer

It was announced, in 2019, that Kim was studying to be a lawyer. Many people forget that her father, Robert Kardashian, was a famous lawyer who represented O.J. Simpson in his court trial. However, Kim does not need to attend law school to take the bar exam, as per California law. She is doing an apprenticeship with two professional lawyers, Erin Haney and Jessica Jackson, who are mentoring her, and helping her log in 18 hours of supervised study per week.

Originally, the White House invited her to advise to help change the system of clemency. She was very intrigued by criminal law and all the wrong-doers who had been put behind bars. When asked why she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps she stated, “I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society… I just felt like the system could be so different, and I wanted to fight to fix it, and if I knew more, I could do more.”

How Kim Has Helped Prisoners

During February-April 2019, Kim actually helped free 17 federal prisoners. She was involved in raising money for the “90 Days of Freedom” campaign in response to the President signing the “First Step Act.” This act allows certain federal prisoners charged for drug offenses to get reduced sentences, especially those charged with life sentences.

Kim will be able to take the bar exam in a few years, and when she does, she wants to specialize in criminal law, opening up a firm which will hire those that have been formerly incarcerated. It helps that she is connected and friends with the President of the United States, and therefore has great influence. Who knows, maybe we will see Kim in the White House one day.

Family is the biggest part of what makes the Kardashians so relatable to people. Kim Didn’t Let Her Health Issues Stop Her From Having Children

Kim got married to Kanye West when she was 33 years old. She carried her oldest children North, and Saint, giving birth to them. There was a problem, though, when she was pregnant with Saint. She had preeclampsia, which causes damage to an organ system within the body, due to high blood pressure. This ended up in Saint being born prematurely.

Kim also got placenta accreta, which causes the placenta to attach itself deep inside the uterine wall, causing her to have surgery. These health issues were serious and could have caused a lot of health problems to Kim and Saint. Because of this, Kim and Kanye decided to carry on having children through surrogates, which Kim was very open about. It is only because she could have surrogates that she could expand her family, and who knows, she may carry on having kids!

Kim Showed The World That Psoriasis Is Nothing To Be Ashamed Of

Kim is only human at the end of the day, and also has health problems. Kim suffers with psoriasis. Psoriasis causes the skin to appear red and bumpy in patches, covered with hard, white scales. These bumps can be very itchy and painful. Kim has shown the world that she covers the patches with her special makeup.

She revealed that she treats her psoriasis with a phototherapy device that she uses at home. Kim also admitted that she uses beauty products that are mainly made of seaweed, to help soothe the skin. Kim Kardashian isn’t perfect, and she shows us that when she goes through health issues she just faces them head on and gets on with her life.

From birthdays to huge holidays like Christmas, the Kardashians really put on a big show. Last year (2019), Kylie brought the cameras into her home and showed the viewers the multitude of beautiful Christmas trees she had in her home.

For a big occasion like Christmas, the family all get together and celebrate in style. When it is the sisters’ birthdays, they have big bashes and give each other beautiful and luxurious presents. For Halloween, the girls also have a huge party, dressing themselves and their children up in fun outfits for the world to see. Easter is also important to them and they celebrate having fun together as a family. Holidays are a major part of the Kardashian family.

They Own A Multitude Of Businesses

No matter what, the Kardashian and Jenner girls have a brand – and that is the Kardashian name. Kylie and Kendall are Jenners, but people see them as being part of the “Kardashian” clan. They have all become somewhat of a royalty status in America. They are all proud businesswomen too.
