The Bullet Ant gets its name from its infamous bite that feels as if you just got shot. It is one of the largest ant species and can grow up to an inch long. Their size and adhesive legs mean that can climb anything they want – so there’s no escape!

Their bite is one of the highest on the insect bite pain index, causing a large throbbing wound to appear in the victim’s flesh. Even humans can be affected by an attack from one of these guys – now imagine an entire colony of them! Sounds like a Hollywood horror film…
