When it comes to age, they say love is blind. When we find the person who makes us happy, smile, protected or supported, all we want to do is put a ring on it. Sometimes people marry for more questionable reasons, such as money or fame.
Here are some celebrities who have found each other and settled down together – despite an unconventional age gap between them. Whether it’s grabbing a bite in their local restaurant or strutting down the red carpet, these couples sure know how to make an impression!
Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall: 25 Years
The media couple that everyone loves to hate: Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall. Hall was previously married to Mick Jagger before their divorce in 1999, with who she shared four children. At 84, Rupert Murdoch also has had children from previous marriages. These two married in 2016 when Murdoch turned 82.
The wedding was controversial due to the age gap between the two of them and the fact that the groom was over 80. Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has drawn irk from some due to his control over American and British media.
Julius Tennon and Viola Davis: 12 Years
Viola Davis married Julius Tennon in 2003 and are bound by a 13-year age gap between the two of them. They met on the set of City of Angels and have been happily together ever since. Tennon had two children from past relationships and the couple jointly adopted a daughter in 2011.
Genesis is seven years old and completes the happy family despite wide age gaps. Together, they founded a production company called JuVee Productions as insurance against their acting careers. We don’t think they have a problem!
Celine Dion and René Angélil: 26 Years
Celine Dion met her husband, René Angélil, when she was 12 years old and he was 38. They began as professionals – he was her manager – and their relationship was kept a secret until 1991.

The leading man of Maroon 5, Adam Levine, was a bachelor for much of his life before finally settling down with Behati Prinsloo – who is 10 years his junior. Another Royal couple to hit our list belong to the nation of Bhutan. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck met his future wife, Jetsum Pema when she was just seven years old. It is said that she declared her love for him then and there.
He promised her that when they would get married once she was of age – but only if they were both single and were in love with one another. They married in 2011 and welcomed a son in 2016, who will one day be king.
Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko: 13 Years
It must be true what they say: opposites attract! At 6″6 and 5″1, the actress and Ukrainian boxer looked quite the part when going out together. Panettiere rose to fame from her time on Nashville and they two fell in love back in 2009.
