Here Are Some Celebrities That Support President Trump
President Trump is a divisive figure across the world, let alone in America. For some celebrities on both coasts, careers have strangely quietened down since publicly supporting the Republican leader.
In the ecosystem of liberal and progressive views, support for a conservative can cost you your job and get you thrown out of Hollywood.
Here are some of the celebrities who have publicly shown their support for the President, risking their reputation, career, connections, and fans.
Bruce Willis
The Die Hard star is also a die-hard fan of Trump, appearing on The Tonight Show wearing the famous ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. He has previously described himself as ‘apolitical’ but it is known his views lean more right than his Hollywood co-stars. He also happens to have a property in Trump Tower, which suggests an affiliation with the president.
Mike Tyson
The boxer has described him and Donald Trump as ‘the same guy… a thrust for power, a drive for power. Whatever field we’re in, we need power in that field. That’s just who we are.’ They certainly share a unique energy and voice, with Tyson describing them both as ‘balls of energy’.
Tom Brady
The four-time Super Bowl champion has described Donald Trump as a good friend. Explaining that he supports all his friends in their endeavors, it strongly implies he is a fan of the Trump presidency. After his public support, Trump’s approval rating jumped to 48% in Massachusetts.
Jon Voight
The father of Angelina Jolie has written extensively about his support for Donald Trump and his mission to run for president. In a letter published on Breitbart, he wrote ‘that Donald is funny, playful, and colorful, but most of all, he is honest.’
Aaron Carter
Carter is known for making strange comments publicly, so it is unclear if his support for Trump is genuine or parody. He has often described himself as ‘too intelligent’ for people who don’t understand politics – mirroring Trump’s ‘stable genius’ comments – and claims to like Trump because ‘I like somebody who likes to defy the odds, such as myself.’
Dennis Rodman
Is there a more iconic image than Dennis Rodman discussing President Trump’s North Korea strategy while wearing a ‘MAGA’ hat and crying on CNN? The two met in 2013 when Rodman appeared on Celebrity Apprentice and has publicly supported Trump since.
Kid Rock
Kid Rock has been a Republican for many years and has previously endorsed other politicians like Mitt Romney and Ben Carson. According to Rolling Stone, he said he ‘digs’ Trump, too. ‘My feeling: let the motherf**king business guy run it like a f**king business. And his campaign has been entertaining as s**t.’
Owen Wilson
Despite being a liberal, the Hollywood actor has admitted he feels fondly towards the president. Comparing his honesty to Charlie Sheen, he said: ‘you can’t help but get a kick out of him, and I think part of it is we’re so used to politicians on both sides sounding like actors at press junkies—it’s sort of by rote, and they say all the right things.’
Sylvester Stallone
During an interview with Variety, Stallone admitted he is a big fan of the ‘larger-than-life’ personality that is seen in Trump, and compared him to his friend, Arnold Schwarzenegger. He wasn’t too sure how that could translate to ‘running the world’, but he seems confident in Trump’s ability.
Kanye West
Kanye has been one of the loudest and most controversial supporters of Donald Trump. After meeting with the president-elect in November 2016, he was initially shunned by the black community and institutionalized. Since then, he has shouted ‘build the wall!’ in public and helped Trump’s approval among black people double from 11% to 22%.
Kirstie Alley
The star of the Look Who’s Talking franchise publically supported Donald Trump’s run for president as early as April 2016, when she tweeted at him. She is also a fan of Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer. It appears her career has sadly taken a hit from her support of the Republicans.
Charlie Sheen
During the 2016 election, Sheen clearly saw levels of Tiger Blood running through the presidential candidate and tweeted his desire to be Trump’s VP. Known for his playboy antics and wild lifestyle, it appears America wasn’t ready for a Trump/Sheen administration.
Clint Eastwood
The Hollywood veteran is a loud supporter of conservative values and is perhaps most famous for talking to an empty chair at the Republican National Convention in 2012. During the election cycle in 2016, he was featured in a story In Esquire, where he spoke about political correctness and his admiration for the future leader of the free world.
Herschel Walker
The former football player shares many sentiments expressed by Donald Trump, most notably the desire to get the country ‘back on track’. He has been quoted saying: ‘when are we going to get back to what’s best for this country? I think that’s what’s Donald is pushing to do. … I think we have to get a president now that’s more of a business person.’
Lou Ferrigno
The former Hulk actor has praised Donald Trump in the past, calling him a ‘fabulous’ guy. Ferrigno appeared on and fired from, Celebrity Apprentice, but that doesn’t stop his enthusiasm: ‘he cares about our country and keeping our country safe.’
Stephen Baldwin
The very thing that most people criticize Donald Trump for is the same thing that Baldwin believe makes him so appealing. ‘He’s not a politician. And he doesn’t care what anybody thinks. And that’s why he’s surging in the polls.’ His brother, Alec, has seen a career resurgence from playing Trump on SNL, and the brothers apparently haven’t spoken in a few years.
Fran Drescher
The Nanny actress applauds Trump’s ability to say things that other people feel they can’t. She has called him funny, charismatic, and brave for battling the political correctness and establishment of modern-day politics.
Robert Kiyosaki
The businessman and author of Rich Dad Poor Dad noticed Trump stand out among the other Republicans as someone with a proven track record of making money. That, he believes, is a key element of how to run a country and so he endorsed him in 2016. He most likely supported Mitt Romney in 2012 for similar reasons.
Hulk Hogan
The famous wrestler was quoted as saying he would love to be Trump’s running mate in the election. It is unclear what attracts Hogan to Trump, but their relationship dates back to the 1990s when they both took part in WWE.
Roseanne Barr
Barr’s show, Roseanne, offered viewers a rare look at a sitcom that viewed Donald Trump’s presidency as positive. The actress is not shy of expressing her support for Trump and his policies. Unfortunately, she was fired after some questionable tweets were posted.
