When you appear on a show called The Facts of Life, it’s important to take the good and the bad from the experience! After marrying her husband, Steven Cauble, the actress decided to stay at home as a mom and author.

Since leaving the acting gig, Whelchel has become somewhat of a prolific writer. She has written more than 10 books about motherhood, religion, and even an entire autobiography. Lisa Whelchel did return to TV one more time: as a contestant on Survivor: Philippines, coming in second place.
