These Celebrities Are Only One Half Of Twins – Let’s See The Other Half!
It’s hard to think of some of our favorite stars as one half of twins. Whether it’s their film performance or stunning live concerts, we can be sure to follow the ins and outs of our favorite celebrities. They are often intelligent, successful, and beacons of inspiration for us all.
You might not realize that some of them have secret twins!
We expose some of Hollywood’s most secretive celebrity sets of twins and learn a bit more about them here. Strap in – it’s going to get spooky!
Alanis and Wade Morissette
Did you know that Alanis Morissette had a twin? Well, ‘you oughta know’! Sorry, we couldn’t resist. She hardly talks about her brother, Wade, but he’s also a musician. He also practices yoga and Reiki – the two of them even co-wrote a yoga book together in the past.
The two of them remain close to this day and respect each other’s careers. Who knows, we might even see the two of them perform a song together one day – they are clearly a musical family!
Giovanni and Marissa Ribisi
This famous set of twins are both actors by their own standards – both are known for their appearances in films both indie and mainstream. Giovanni has appeared in films and TV shows such as Avatar, Saving Private Ryan, Friends, and Sneaky Pete.
Marissa, on the other hand, has also appeared in different shows but took a break from the spotlight to raise her two children she shares with husband Beck. The two twins remain close friends and supporters of each other.
Nicholas Brendon and Kelly Donovan
These identical twins took different names to help people tell them apart – which is hard to do when you see them both! You might recognize Nicholas (and by extension, Kelly), for playing Xander Harris on Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Unfortunately, he must be the evil twin since he has tackled issues like alcoholism and gotten in trouble with the law. His brother, Kelly, has continued to work on television shows doing stunt work and other smaller roles.
Jon and Dan Heder
Napolean Dynomite is an identical twin! Who knew? These brothers certainly turn a few heads when they walk down the street. Jon’s breakout role in the 2004 indie film had people talking for years and inspiring a slew of Halloween costumes.
His brother Dan works with him but from behind the scenes as they manage their own production company together. The two both grew up as practicing Mormons and supported Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race.
Jill and Jacqueline Hennessy
These Canadian Twins are both success stories in their own right. Jill is an actress best known for her performance in Law and Order, whereas Jacqueline is a popular television host in Canada.
The latter is also rather clever, too – she collected a doctorate in French literature, making the twins both smart and elegant. The two remain close even though they live in different countries, and be sure to communicate frequently despite the long distance between them.
Olly and Ben Murs
Olly Murs found fame from The X Factor in the UK all the way back in 2009. His appearance n the talent show contest wasn’t without its controversy, however. He had to miss his own brother’s wedding to stay in the live shows, which caused a huge rift between the two of them.
Olly didn’t win the show but, as is often the case with runners-up, established a strong career regardless. The two are working on rebuilding their relationship.
Sami and Rami Malek
Another set of identical twins in Hollywood hiding in plain sight is this dynamic duo in the form of the Malek twins. Apparently, when they were growing up they would pretend to be each other and skip classes! We wonder if they still pull this trick today!
It might explain how Rami Malek is such a versatile actor! After getting his break in Mr. Robot, Rami Malek won an Oscar for his performance as Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
Joseph and Jacob Fiennes
Jacob Fiennes is the lesser known twin brother to Joseph Fiennes who is the lesser known brother to Ralph Fiennes. The family clearly have the acting streak in them since at least two out of three of them are often seen in films.
Joseph Fiennes is best known for his work in Shakespeare in Love opposite Gwyneth Paltrow. His twin, however, keeps a lowkey lifestyle out of the entertainment industry. Today, he lives in Norfolk and is a conservationist.
Judy and Joselin Reyes
You will probably best know Judy Reyes from her stint as Carla in Scrubs from 2001-2010. Recently she worked on Devious Maids and Joseli has also appeared in shows like Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
The sisters aren’t identical – obviously – which has helped them shape their own careers outside of the pressures of appearing as twins together. The two are each other’s best friends and make sure to speak regularly despite their busy work schedules.
Kiefer and Rachel Sutherland
The star of 24 and 80s heartthrob Kiefer Sutherland actually has a twin – Rachel. The two remain close and even sometimes work together. She is a post-production supervisor on film and TV sets and helps out with his projects.
Currently, he is starring in the Netflix drama Designated Survivor – maybe we will see Rachel drop a cameo? The two would clearly work well together since they have that twin bond which is so rare and valuable.
Eva and Joy Green
Eva Green played opposite Daniel Craig in the 2006 James Bond flick Casino Royale and rose to fame after her amazing performance. She has since continued her career and has starred in the Penny Dreadful TV Seris. Her twin, however, is less than likely to follow in her sister’s footsteps.
Joy Green on the other enjoys a quieter life in the Normandy countryside, where the sisters are originally from, where she is out of the public eye raising her horses.
Efren and Carlos Ramirez
What are the chances that two leading actors would both be identical twins? Efren Ramirez shot to global fame starring alongside Jon Heder in Napolean Dynomite. The film became a cult classic and is still the inspiration for Halloween costumes today.
Efren’s brother, Carlos, is also an actor in Hollywood. The pair both live in Hollywood, where they had a falling out after Carlos was impersonating Efren without his permission. Ouch!
Jenna and Barbara Bush
These political twins kept out of the limelight during their father’s presidency from 2001-2009. It is widely understood by the press that the young children of White House members are off limits, so it may not even be common knowledge that they exist!
Today, two presidents later, Jenna Bush Hager is married with two daughters of her own. She fills in for Kathie Lee Gifford on The Today Show. Barbara Pierce Bush stays out of public life and lives, unmarried, in New York as the head of Global Health Corp.
Vin Diesel and Paul Vincent
Imagine Vin Diesel with hair and you might get a good idea of what his twin brother, Paul, looks like. These two don’t look alike at all with his big bushy hair contrasting Vin’s absolute lack of it.
The The Fast and Furious star is big and bulked up to impress his millions of fans whereas his twin is a lot more slender and thin. Honestly, these two are so different you can’t tell they’re related!
Aaron and Angel Carter
Another musical family with close bonds – Aaron Carter and his twin sister Angel. Angel and Aaron are both the younger siblings of Nick Carter – none other than one of the members of the Backstreet Boys!
When Angel got married in 2014, it was her close twin Aaron who walked her down the aisle and gave her away – such a cute bond! Regardless of what happens in the future, we’re sure these two will remain close for years ahead.
Scarlett and Hunter Johansson
Scarlett Johansson has been a Hollywood name for 20 years now, ever since appearing in 1998’s The Horse Whisperer. Since then, she has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Widow and has wowed audiences all over the world. Did you know she had a twin of her own?
Hunter Johansson appeared alongside his famous sister in Manny & Lo but spends much of his time with various charities. He worked on Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008. This next famous twin says he does EVERYTHING for his brother…
Ashton and Michael Kutcher
Ashton Kutcher has been a household name for 20 years ever since appearing on that 70s show That 70s Show. His lesser-known twin, Michael Kutcher, suffers from cerebral palsy who is widely known as a motivational speaker.
The two of them share a special bond and often refer to each other as their best friend. Michael underwent a heart transplant when they were both 13 but it never stopped him from keeping up with his brother and the crazy family!
Laverne and M. Lamar Cox
One of the biggest stars from Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black was originally an identical twin before her transition. Today, Laverne and M. Lamar are now regular twins and share a special bond with each other.
Even though M. Lamar is not an actor, he camoed in the hit show to portray Laverne’s character, Sophia, before her transition in a flashback – what a coincidence!
Mo and Hassan Farah
This Olympic and World champion has a twin brother that not many people know about. Hassan stayed in Somalia while his twin brother, Mo, moved to the UK when they were eight. Mo lived with their father and picked up an interest in running.
And the rest is (literally) history. The duo went an entire 12 years before they were reunited and met again. Today, Mo is the most decorated athlete in British history.
Linda and Leslie Hamilton
The star of the Terminator franchise has an identical sister, named Leslie. While her sister kicks butt and kills robots from the future, Leslie is out saving human lives as a nurse.
Funnily enough, Leslie Hamilton actually cameoed as Sarah Connor in The Terminator 2: Judgement Day after director James Cameron wanted a very specific shot that required some trickery. Linda was married to James briefly but the marriage didn’t last. Linda is appearing in the rebooted franchise out next year.
Siva and Kumar Kaneswaran
Siva Kaneswaran is a member of The Wanted a British boy band that rose to fame in 2009. The two appeared on Rock Rivals the previous year and have remained close when one of them shot up to fame.
Now they are in their 30s and remain loud and vocal on Twitter, where they interact with fans and talk about their personal and professional updates. Twins can remain close and we know that Kumar is a strong supporter of Siva and his band’s success.
The Proclaimers
You’ve definitely heard the anthem behind these twins’ success. At 24, Charlie and Craig Reid released I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and music was never the same again. For 30 years, we’ve been singing and dancing our way through life to their one-hit-wonder.
Not many people know that the song was written by twins, identical ones at that! Today, they still perform around the world, although most people know their biggest some most. Name one other song by The Proclaimers, we dare you.
Elvis and Jesse Presley
Many people don’t know that Elvis Presley was actually one half of a set of twins. Elvis and Jesse were born in Mississippi on January 8, 1935. Elvis was born 35 minutes after his identical twin who was unfortunately delivered stillborn.
It’s hard to imagine this American icon as one half of a duo, and it’s a shame we never saw what could have been. Who knows, maybe they would have performed together?
Dylan and Cole Sprouse
Another set of child stars to hit our list, the Sprouse twins started acting at the age of one when they played Patrick in Grace Under Fire. Throughout the 1990s, they appeared, often as the same character, in Big Daddy and Friends.
They rose to fame as twins when they starred in the Disney show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. They took a quick break from acting to focus on their education before returning in 2017.
John and Jana Elway
As a player for the Denver Broncos between 1983 and 1998, John Elway was one of football’s biggest names! Today, he is their manager and is the VP of all football operations for the team. It isn’t common knowledge that he had a twin sister, however, called Jana Elway.
She was born 11 minutes after him and sadly passed away from lung cancer in 2002. They were both just 42 years old. We can’t imagine being a twin for your whole life and then having someone leave your side.
Charlotte and Samantha Ronson
Charlotte is the lesser-known twin of Samantha Ronson who is the lesser-known sibling of Mark Ronson, the famous English music producer. The twins both now live in America – California and New York – where they follow their dreams. Samantha is a DJ and Charlotte runs a fashion store with trendy clothes.
Samantha is probably best known for briefly dating Lindsey Lohan. The two sisters remain close to this day and enjoy flying to visit one another. Their brother Mark is in London.
Ronnie and Reggie Kray
These two aren’t exactly ‘famous’ as they are infamous! The criminal/gangster duo was prominent in London for completely running the police and other gangs across the country. In 2015, actor Tom Hardy starred as both twins in the biopic Legend.
The identical twins ran a gang called The Firm and regularly engaged in questionable behavior. The two were very unstable and go down as one of the most legendary duos in history.
Parker and Christopher Posey
Parker Posey has been parking herself in indie roles throughout her career – appearing in films such as Lost In Space, Scream 3, Blade: Trinity, and Superman Returns.
She’s actually part of a troupe where she often appears in Christopher Guest films, so the chances are you’ve seen quite a lot of her over her career. Her lesser-known twin brother, Christopher, is a practicing lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia. It’s always good to have a lawyer in the family!
The Winklevoss Twins
These strapping young men are best known as the men behind the site that would one day inspire Facebook. Their relationship with Mark Zuckerberg was highlighted in the 2010 film The Social Network. They both accused him of stealing their idea, HarvardConnection.
They settled out of court for an undisclosed sum and have moved on to new ventures. Notably, they became the first bitcoin billionaires (although we don’t know how long that lasted!)
James and Oliver Phelps
These cheeky twins rose to fame as the Weasley brothers in the Harry Potter franchise. Playing Ron’s twin brothers, Fred and George, the two actors captured hearts and minds for 10 years while they were on screen.
The rumor goes that they skipped school to make the audition – only telling their parents after they got the part. That is the most Weasley thing ever!
The Olsen Twins
These two were on almost every screen in the 1990s. They rose to fame by playing the same character, Michelle, on Full House. Mary-Kate and Ashley weren’t even a year old and they were already raking in the cash.
They went on to star in countless films and television shows before retiring from acting to focus on fashion. In 2007, The Olsen Twins were declared the 11th richest women in the world. You definitely knew about these twins!
Ronde and Tiki Barber
What are the chances that two identical brothers would end up playing at the NFL? Ronde and Tiki Barber were amazingly both drafted in 1997 after attending the University of Virginia.
Ronde played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tiki played for the New York Giants. More than once, they had to play opposite each other! Today, they continue down the same career as sports correspondents.
Tasha and Sidra Smith
You might recognize their face(s) from Tasha Smith’s time on Empire, portraying Carol, the sister of Tajara P. Henson’s character. Since 2015, she has been on the FOX show and part of Hollywood since 2007 when she stared in Why Did I Get Married.
Her twin, Sidra, is not an actress but works as a full-time director and producer. The biggest difference between these two is the shaved head!
Gisele and Patricia Bündchen
Does being the twin sister of one of the most popular and famous supermodels in the world have its perks? It sure does! Patricia Bündchen accompanies her famous sister, Gisele, all around the world as they attend parties and red-carpet ceremonies together.
She has another sweet deal, too – watching her brother-in-law, Tom Brady, at the Superbowl! Sometimes it’s better to be hiding in plain sight and enjoy the perks of fame without the unwanted attention it brings!
Isabella and Isotta Rossellini
The actress behind classics like Blue Velvet and Death Becomes Her was born in Rome, Italy on June 18, 1952, with her twin, Isotta. Of course, both ladies are the children of Roberto Rossellini and award-winning actress Ingrid Bergman.
Isotta isn’t as famous as her sister, but it doesn’t stop her from appearing in films over the years.
Will and Rupert Young
Will Young jumped on to British screens in 2002 when he won the very first season of Pop Idol. The show was adapted into American Idol and became a cultural sensation.
You might not know that the 39-year-old actually has a twin – Rupert Young. Rupert, unfortunately, struggles with depression and has trouble living in his brother’s shadow.
Tia and Tamera Mowry
These identical twins are probably best known for the 1990s sitcom, Sister, Sister. Tia and Tamera Mowry were both born in Germany and rose to fame as child actors.

Joel and Benji Madden
These twins are probably best known for their rock star days in the band, Good Charlotte. The band has been active on and off for 24 years, ever since they formed in 1995.
Joel and Benji are also part of a collaboration called The Madden Brothers. They were born in Maryland and support PETA while promoting companies like KFC.
Billy Dee Williams
You might not know that this Star Wars actor has a twin – but he does! The Lando Calrissian actor has a twin sister, Loretta, who were both born in New York City in 1937.
He might be best known for his Star Wars character, but Billy Dee Williams was actually supposed to play Two-Face in Tim Burton’s neglected sequel to Batman Returns. He would go on to voice Two-Face in The Lego Batman movie.
Daryl and Evan Sabara
This Spy Kids star has a fraternal twin called Evan. They are both actors but Evan stays behind the camera, often offering voice work. These two definitely aren’t identical.
Amazingly, there is a large height difference between the two of them which is maybe why they don’t appear as on-screen brothers together. Daryl married singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor in 2018.
Aaron and Shawn Ashmore
These twins are identical and we wouldn’t blame you if you couldn’t tell them apart! This set of acting brothers have both made names for themselves. Shawn (right) has appeared as Iceman in the X-Men franchise, whereas Aaron had parts in Smallville and Killjoys.
It seems these Canadian brothers are fans of the superhero fanfare! These brothers have had succesful careers in their own right and both have enjoyed dedicated audiences of fans in different franchises to date.
Conrad and Bonar Bain
Did you know that the famous dad from Diff’rent Strokes was an identical twin? Conrad Bain was known as the dad who warmed hearts across America in the 1970s and 1980s.
His brother, Bonar Bain often appeared alongside his identical twin and was used as a stand-in when necessary. Even though he wasn’t as famous as his brother, Bonar appeared in Maude as a fictional evil twin to Hank’s character.
