Love is love. It’s hard enough to find someone in this life you want to settle down with – let alone find someone who wants to settle down with you! The truth is: relationships are hard and should be celebrated whenever two people find each other.

Kordale Lewis and Kaleb Anthony
These two rose to fame when they started sharing their everyday antics on Instagram. The two quickly gained a dedicated audience who kept up to date with their lives.
Their account garnered the attention of Acne Studios, a luxury Swedish brand, and the couple was invited to feature as the first black gay family for the brand. As ambassadors to Acne Studios, they often appear with their three biological children. Have you followed their antics online?
George Takei and Brad Altman
Even though he’s now 81 years of age, it’s impossible not to think of George Takei as the original Hikaru Sulu from Star Trek. He and Brad Altman made their relationship public in 2005 – 18 years after they had started dating!
They married in 2008 and have been happily together ever since. They were the first same-sex couple to appear on The Newlyweds Game, coming in first place and winning $10,000 for a charity of their choice.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita
Jesse Tyler Ferguson rose to fame in 2009 as one half of Modern Family’s most fabulous couples. Mikita is a world-renowned lawyer and together they started the non-profit charity ‘Tie The Knot’ which raises funds in support of same-sex marriage.
The symbol used was their famous bow ties which they both wear. They finally got married in 2013 and requested that guests do not buy them gifts but instead make a donation to the foundation.
Anderson Cooper and Benjamin Maisani
Anderson Cooper has been on our screens on CNN for years but only publicly came out in 2012. He and Benjamin Maisani were partners from 2009 but sadly ended their relationship in 2018 after nine years together.
When coming out, Cooper states, “I have given some the mistaken impression that I am trying to hide something… This is distressing because it is simply not true. … The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any happier”.
Kendrell Bowman And Anthony Wayne
These two have fairly different professions but it must be what makes them so compatible. Anthony Wade had a breakout role on Broadway in 2011 when he stared in Anything Goes. Kendrell Bowman, however, works out of the public eye as a creative image consultant and stylist for celebrities.
To date, he has worked with Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Dawn Richard, K. Michelle, Lauriana Mae, Ashanti, and David Banner. This couple’s differences are what makes them work so well!
Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell
One’s a Hollywood star, and the other is a runway model – it’s a match made in heaven! Stewart and Maxwell met a few years ago and are quickly becoming a power couple in Hollywood.
Kirsten Stewart reached global fame after starring in the Twilight franchise, and Stella Maxwell is a model for Victoria’s Secrets. The two have been publicly linked as a couple since 2016. Currently, Stewart is filming for the highly-anticipated Charlie’s Angels reboot.
Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson
Cara Delevingne exploded on the modeling scene in 2009 and went on to star in Hollywood blockbusters such as Suicide Squad. She has been with Ashley Benson for a few years, who is a successful star in her own right.
She has starred in films such as Pixels and was in Pretty Little Liars for seven years. The two are happily still together. Delevingne is technically bisexual and identifies as ‘gender fluid’, meaning she considers herself neither a man nor woman.
Lance Bass and Michael Turchin
Lance Bass rocked our world when he was part of the 1990s’ sensation N*SYNC. The band broke up and our dreams were smashed, but in 2011 the world restored its faith in humanity when he started dating Michael Turchin.
The two married in 2014 and were the first same-sex couple to do so on cable television. They even had their own show, Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding which can be found online.
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Neil Patrick Harris became a breakout star for his role as Barney in How I Met Your Mother. These two kept their engagement a secret for five whole years but have since celebrated their marriage in the public eye.
His husband, David Burtka, is an American actor and professional chef. They even appeared in the famous sitcom together when Burtka guest-starred as Scooter. The couple has a set of twins, Harper and Gideon, who were born via surrogacy.
Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni
Cynthia Nixon stole our hearts as Miranda Hobbes in HBO’s Sex and the City. Today, she rose to prominence as a political activist and shining star in the LGBT community. She was originally married to Danny Mozes, but found love with Christine Marinoni – who she married in 2011.
Nixon is openly bisexual and doesn’t consider falling in love with a woman any different to falling in love with a man. They share a child together called Max, who was born in 2011.
Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison
Jodie Foster rose to fame as early as 1976 when she starred in Martin Scorsese’s Taxi. Other iconic roles include Bugsy Malone and The Silence of the Lambs. Today, she focusses more on directing and has probably been the mastermind behind some of your favorite shows.
Her relationship with Alexandra Hedison remains part of her private life, but we know that they have been happy together since their marriage in 2014. They share two children from Foster’s previous marriage to Cydney Bernard.
Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli
These two found each other while shooting Orange is the New Black. Wiley, as one of its stars, fell for writer Morelli and the two married in March 2017. Famously, Lauren Morelli was married to a man during filming and came out as gay while writing for the show.
Their love affair spanned for years in secret before they were unfortunately outed by a gossip magazine. Today, they live happily as wife and wife in New York.
Elton John and David Furnish
It was perhaps the worst-kept secret in Hollywood that Elton John was gay. He and David Furnish have been together since 1993 and entered into a civil partnership in 2005. Once same-sex marriage was legalized in England and Wales, they finally married in 2014 – 21 years after they met.
Furnish is a Canadian filmmaker and former advertising executive, and together they share two children through a surrogate. Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John and Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John were born in 2010 and 2013 respectively.
Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef
After years of rumors, singer Ricky Martin came out as gay in 2010. This was following the birth of his twin boys in 2008 via surrogate. The Livin’ La Vida Loca singer settled down with Jwan Yosef in 2017.
Yosef is a Swedish painter and artist who specializes in plastic arts. The two live happily raising their two children together and are proud advocates of Gay Rights and awareness in Latin America and across Europe.
Tom Ford and Richard Buckley
This power couple has been together since 1986! Tom Ford and Richard Buckley exchanged vows in 2014 and have been happily married ever since. The magazine editor and fashion magnate confess to falling in love as soon as they locked eyes on a fateful New Year’s Eve.
Today they share a son, Alexander John Buckley Ford, and the two have a love stronger than ever! Despite the 14-year age gap between these two, they’ve proved that love knows no bounds!
Wanda Sykes and Alex Sykes
Wanda Sykes came out as gay in 2008 – only a few months before she was to marry her wife, Alex. This star is famous for her work as a writer on The Chris Rock Show and has frequently appeared on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Alex Sykes, nee Niedbalski, is a French citizen who gave birth to a pair of fraternal twins, daughter Olivia Lou and son Lucas Claude in 2009. They split their time between Los Angeles and Philidelphia.
Michael Kors and Lance Lepere
It was a quick turnaround for this fashion couple! They announced their engagement in 2011 – only weeks before tying the knot in the Hamptons, New York.
Kors is a high-profile American sportswear fashion designer who has fashioned prominent people such as former first lady Michelle Obama. The two married in 2011 and happily live together in New York where they continue to rock the fashion scene. Do you own any of his amazing clothes?
Jillian Michaels and Heidi Rhoades
Jillian Michaels appeared on The Biggest Loser and E!’s Just Jillian. It was here where she met Heidi Rhoades, the talent manager, and proposed to her on screen! Unfortunately, it didn’t last and the couple called off their engagement in June 2018.
The exes have two children together: Michaels adopted a daughter from Haiti in May 2012, and Rhoades gave birth to a son that same month. We’re rooting for these two to get reunited soon!
Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years, then you’ll probably know Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. Today, his career has expanded on to Broadway where he made his debut in 2011.
They married in 2017 after 14 years together. They admit they waited a long time simply because they didn’t feel it necessary to ‘make it official’. Spiewak is a graphic designer and the two live happily in New York City.
Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner
Lily Tomlin started making waves in the 1960s with her deadpan humor and amazing screen presence. She met her future wife, Jane Wagner, in 1971 and they have been together for an amazing 47 years!
They married on December 31, 2013, and are big advocates for Gay Rights to this day. Tomlin has been in some classic shows over the years, including The West Wing, Grace and Frankie, and most recently, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.
Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem
Linda Wallem is perhaps best known for her work on That 70s Show, whereas Melissa Etheridge is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and activist. Strangely, these two were born on the exact same day and married two days after their 53rd birthday in 2014.
Etheridge has been a star in the folk and country scene since the 1980s and is a high-profile member of Gay Rights activist groups across the country. They share two children together via surrogate.
RuPaul and Georges LeBar
RuPaul has had a busy few years ever since RuPaul’s Drag Race and its large popularity among young people. He keeps a fairly private personal life, but he has been with his partner, Georges LeBar, since 1994. The couple got married in 2014 and have been together for 24 years!
LeBar is a painter and author in the United States and the couple has admitted to having an open relationship with each other but make sure to respect their wishes.
Cheyenne Jackson and Jason Landau
Cheyenne Jackson garnered a reputation for appearing in classic shows such as Glee, American Horror Story, and 30 Rock. He married fellow actor Jason Landau in October 2016 and have two twins, Willow and Ethan, together. Landau has appeared in sitcoms such as Will and Grace.
Prior to the marriage with Jason, Cheyenne was married to Monte Lapka in 2011 and got divorced in 2013. They met in rehab in 2013 and has described their meeting as ‘love at first sight’.
Robin Roberts and Amber Laign
The Good Morning America host had been dating Amber Laign since 2005. However, they kept their relationship under wraps until their engagement in 2013. Laign is a massage therapist and largely stays out of the limelight.
The pair were connected through mutual friends who thought they would make a good couple – and we couldn’t agree more! Despite the 13-year age gap, these two seem happy and in love.
Ryan Murphy and David Miller
Ryan Murphy is the mastermind behind some of the best shows on television. He created Nip/Tuck, Glee, and the American Horror Story anthologies. He and his partner, David Miller, exchanged vows in 2012. Together, they have two sons via a surrogate.
Miller is a photographer and the two embark on many philanthropic ventures, such as donating $10 million to a children’s hospital in Los Angeles. Together, they are one of Hollywood’s most valuable and charitable couples.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi
Is there a more iconic lesbian duo than Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi? Ellen made history by coming out on national television on her sitcom, Ellen, back in 1997. It’s hard to believe this was such an iconic moment – but it would change TV forever.
These two were married in 2008 and Ellen received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama for her LGBT advocacy. Portia De Rossi is a model and philanthropist and best known for her role on Arrested Development.
Orlando Cruz and Jose Manuel Colon
Orlando Cruz made history by becoming the first openly gay professional boxer in the industry. The Puerto Rican powerhouse and world champion married Jose Maneil Colon in 2013 in a ceremony in Central Park. Cruz has explained: “I always have been and will always be a proud Puerto Rican.
I have always been and always will be a proud gay man.” He is a proud role model for young people who wish to enter the boxing arena and remain true to themselves.
Raven-Symoné and AzMarie Livingston
Everyone’s favorite children’s TV psychic Raven-Symone dated AzMarie Livingston for three years before sadly calling it quits. As well as her run as Raven in Disney’s That’s So Raven, she was also a co-host on The View.
The couple had guest-starred as Olivia Lyon and Chicken on the FOX hit Empire. Livingston also appeared as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion in 2012. There’s plenty of more fish in the sea!
Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black
Young Daley made his mark on the world in the 2012 Olympics when he was the poster boy for the entire event. In 2013, he started dating screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and they quickly got engaged. In 2017, they finally married in a castle in England.
The following year, they welcomed their first child, Robert Ray Black-Daley. Despite the 20 year age gap between these two, we can see they are clearly in love! At 24 and 44, let’s hope they keep the spark going.
Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor
Another couple with a large age gap – Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor. The American Horror Story actress started dating Holland Taylor in 2015. There are 32 years between these two – but that doesn’t mean they don’t love each other!
Taylor is an actress and playwright and is probably most famous for her roles in The Practice and Two and A Half Men. Before Holland, Paulson had dated Cherry Jones, another actress significantly older than herself. As long as they’re happy!
Cherry Jones and Sophie Huber
Actress Cherry Jones married Sophie Huber after her relationship with Sarah Paulson. These two have been married since 2015 and appear very much in love. You might recognize Jones from Black Mirror, 24, and Transparent.
Huber is an actress and director, known for Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes, Harry Dean Stanton: Partly Fiction and After Effect. Who knows, maybe they will appear together on screen sometime in the future?
Rufus Wainwright and Jorn Weisbrodt
These two make quite the musical couple! Wainwright is a singer-songwriter and composer, and Weisbrodt is an arts administrator from Germany. With the help of a friend, they have a young daughter called Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen.
Weisbrodt is currently the artistic director of ALL ARTS – a streaming and broadcast channel and Wainwright has released his seventh studio album! We’re sure their children will never be too far from the arts with these two as parents.
Nick Denton and Derrence Washington
Nick Denton is probably most known for starting Gawker, the famous gossip site that was amazingly shut down after the Hulk Hogan lawsuit. He has been with Derrence Washington, an actor, for many years and they married in 2015.
Washington has described his husband as ‘the best homeboy’ and Denton said how he felt “no anxiety, no hesitation, no sleepless nights” about their relationship. The two are facing financial trouble after Denton was sued for hundreds of millions of dollars.
Antonio Douthit-Boyd and Kirven Douthit-Boyd
This dancing duo met while both working in the Alvin Ailey Dance Company and married in 2013. Today, these two have both retired from dancing to focus on being co-artistic directors for the dance department of the non-profit Center of Creative Arts (COCA).
Here, they teach the value of dance and community to poorer areas of the United States. They were quoted as being inspired by the Ferguson Riots and the impact it can have on young lives.
Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn
Sam Smith is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, and even performed the theme tune for Spectre. He recently entered a relationship with Brandon Flynn, star of 13 Reasons Why.
Smith is famously private and so it is unlikely that we will find out much more about their relationship any time soon! These two should probably enjoy their private time together while they can – we’re sure their success is only going to grow more and more!
Michael Sam and Vito Cammisano
Michael Sam made history when he was drafted to the St. Louis Rams in 2014. In a moment of emotional ecstasy, he kissed his longterm boyfriend, Vito Cammisano, on camera for the world to see.
It was a huge moment for the NFL and LGBT communities, which have famously been acrimonious toward each other. It was the first time an openly gay man had been selected by the draft. The couple got engaged the following year but sadly broke up soon after.
