Nippon Airways (ANA) has just revealed new photos of its stunning new first class cabin on the brand new re-fitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. With all the airline giants trying to out-do one another with the latest features, ANA is about to take over the tech side of things with their outrageous 4K 43-inch entertainment screens.

This feature is one that no other airline has, and the screens are so big that they take up almost the entire width of the first class suite. The suites were designed by ANA architect Kengo Kuma in collaboration with British designers Acumen. The experience on the Japanese airline is intended to mirror that of a five star hotel, complete with a hotel reception-like aircraft entrance.

Other new features in the appropriately named ‘The Suite’ also includes a privacy door, a universal PC and USB port, all finished off in a luxurious dark wood finish to get the feeling of a five star stay. Passengers traveling with companions have the ability to raise or lower the inner separation so the area is doubled in size.

ANA stated that this new model of first class is “inspired by modern, multifunctional Japanese living spaces,” they added their intention of bringing “warmth and a “home away from home” feel to the cabin, Kengo Kuma finished the seats with three different wood finishes inspired by modern Japanese homes – rosewood, light Japanese ash and dark Japanese ash.”

In addition to the tech and suite features, passengers have fully stocked refrigerators available to them for snacks at any time for the duration of the flight. Panasonic created a new custom light system for first class which was inspired by natural sunlight in order to “improve comfort and convenience during sleeping, reading and dining”.

The first class experience costs $13,142 from Tokyo to London.
