After completing a study on rats, the African Journal of Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicines concluded that the rats given a high concentration of garlic possessed a significant rise in white blood cells in comparison to the lower count given. Garlic contains compounds that help the immune system fight germs and keep you healthy.

Increases athleticism 

Energy drinks and protein shakes are usually used to increase athletic performance, enhance stamina and increase energy levels. It might not be commonly known, but garlic is also a performance enhancing herb.
