Keeping Out Of The Spotlight – These Hollywood Stars Walked Away
Tobey Maguire was a star as Spiderman, while Jessica Alba sizzled up the screen as Max Guevara in Dark Angel, and Alyssa Milano was the cutest teenage daughter in town. But, where are these stars now? These favorites, along with 17 others, fell off the radar much to the disappointment of fans all over the world.

Well, we dug deep to find out exactly what is going on in their lives, to see what they have poured their energy into, and how they spend their time. Here are 20 actors we truly miss from our big screens and wish we could see more of!

But, she slowly faded away from the big screen – so where did she disappear?

In 1999, Carrie-Anne got married to American actor Steven Roy, and the couple had three children together who Carrie-Anne gave most of her attention to. Carrie-Anne is also an entrepreneur, having founded Annapurna Living in 2014, a personal lifestyle company which Carrie-Anne uses as a platform to teach online courses designed to help empower women all over the world.
2. Elijah Wood
Elijah Wood is an American actor in Hollywood, having starred in big movies since he was a little child. It was only when he stepped into the shoes of Frodo Baggins in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy though, that he shot to superstardom. We saw him reprising the role in 2012’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, but then Elijah’s appearance on the big screen began to fade away. So where did he go?

Today, Elijah puts much of his energy into charity work – specifically, The Art of Elysium charity, which gives sick children the opportunity to meet the stars they admire most. He is also really into music, and is a successful DJ with his own record label called Simian Records.
3. Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson is an American actor and filmmaker and quite a legend in the movie industry. In fact, he holds the record, alongside Meryl Streep and Katharine Hepburn, for the most Academy Award nominations. We loved him as Jack Torrance in Stephen King’s brilliant horror novel-turned-movie, The Shining, and his performances in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and The Departed were remarkable. The last movie we saw him in was 2010’s How Do You Know, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, and Owen Wilson. So where did he go?

Jack is 82 years old and is taking time for himself to relax and enjoy life after all the hard work he has put in over the span of his movie career. He loves sitting court side and watching basketball games (he is a huge Lakers fan), and enjoying what life has to offer. He starred in many other hit movies in the early ‘90s, but then he suddenly disappeared. So what happened to this child star?

Macaulay walked away from the spotlight to launch a comedy brand, named Bunny Ears, and moved on to a music career singing in the band The Pizza Underground for a few years before they split up in 2016. It seems that Macaulay is much happier away from the spotlight, and enjoys a more simple life.
5. Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba has been gracing our television and movie screens for a very long time, and is one of the few Latina actresses who made it exceptionally big in Hollywood. Jack Gleeson’s portrayal of Joffrey Baratheon was brilliant as much as it was hard to watch. He was one of those characters the public just loved hating. He was despicable in his ways, and an absolute spoilt brat that only a mother could love. King Joffey’s death was a celebrated moment in Game of Thrones, as fans were glad to finally get rid of him. Of course, Jack Gleeson is nothing like King Joffrey in real life.

Jack Gleeson, who is Irish, is currently 27 years old and prefers to stay out of the spotlight. He is not interested in being an actor anymore, and revealed to The Irish Independent that he would rather be an academic, and would fancy a career as a philosophy professor. In the years that followed, Cameron appeared in a number of box-office hits but hasn’t really been in the public’s eye of late. So, what has she been up to? In 2017, after the release of the movie Annie, Cameron stated that she was tired of all the traveling required for making films and confirmed in 2018 that she had retired from acting. She was on Who’s The Boss playing Tony Danza’s daughter Samantha Micelli for a number of years and came back to TV in a big way, as one of the three sisters in the TV Series Charmed.

He has been in at least 80 movies and has enjoyed a rich, and rewarding acting career.

He stepped away from the limelight for quite a long period enjoying some rest and relaxation. For now, we will wait and see what he does next!
19. Megan Fox
Megan Fox is quite a misunderstood actress, and for good reason. She starred in Transformers 1 & 2 opposite Shia LeBeouf and had many other roles, where she was the quintessential sex symbol. In real life, though, Megan is quite the opposite and doesn’t like to be seen this way.

Megan is firmly rooted in her Christian faith, and is married to Brian Austin Green (of Beverly Hills 90210 fame), whom she met when she was 18 (he was 30 at the time). Together, they have three children. We will be seeing her in two drama-comedies that will be released in 2020 and 2022.
