Being a member of the Royal Family brings with it a bunch of fashion influence. Not only do people around the world listen to your words, but your presentation is everything. When you’re a royal, people will always rush to see what you’re wearing. In fact, some will even rush to buy the same things!
It is estimated that Princess Charlotte, the adorable three-year-old sister of the future king, is worth more than $4.3 billion to the fashion industry. This is because of the influence she has wearing her clothes. So what about Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle? We break down some of their favorite fashion brands and see if we can look like them too.

Aquazzura – pumps
In January 2019, a visibly pregnant Duchess went for a monochromatic look when she visited her new patronage, the National Theatre. During the visit, she wore these amazing Aquazzura pumps.
It was an amazing outfit that shows how elegant she was during one of her first royal engagements. We tracked down a similar fashion item, which can go on sale for $695
Hatch – The Eliza Dress, $218
Maintaining the classic look of black and beige, the Duchess of Sussex wore an Oscar de la Renta coat over a black Hatch dress. The dress, which goes on sale for $218, is a fairly modest choice for the royal who usually spends a bit more on clothes and fashion.
Hatch’s Eliza Dress immediately caught the attention of journalists and fashionistas who sought to buy a version for themselves. Good news: you can buy your very own today!
Norrøna – Puffer Jacket, $486
During their honeymoon in New Zealand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explored the Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua. During the trip, Markle can be seen wearing her new husband’s puffer jacket from Norrøna.
Norrøna’s black puffer jacket is the perfect item for those who feel the wind a little too strong. It is casual yet elegant; perfect for any young couple enjoying married life together.
Simone Rochas – Earrings, $275
The Duchess of Cambridge just can’t get enough of earrings! While most royals wear earrings during engagements, we’re always caught off by how amazing Kate’s are. These Simone Rochas set are a bit more expensive than her other pairs, coming in at $275.
Like most items Kate Middleton wears, these were out of stock soon after she wore them. However, they are back in stock and can be bought at My Theresa. Will you update your fashion wardrobe by getting these?
Castañer – Castañer Carina Wedge Espadrilles, $120
One of the Royal protocols is the necessity to wear high heels – no matter how pregnant or uncomfortable they are. In October 2018, Meghan Markle was seen in Castañer Carina Wedge Espadrilles, worth $120.
Even though they looked absolutely amazing, Meghan Markle had to remove them once she walked onto an Australian beach. We don’t blame her! Since her trip, more people have bought these fabulous shoes.
Eponine – Green Flounce Sleeve Dress
The Duchess of Cambridge has been in the limelight for years, solidifying her role as a fashion influencer. In February 2019, Kate Middleton was seen in a bright green dress by Eponine. Amazingly, the dress can be yours for only $49.
Over the years, the Duchess of Cambridge has been seen in many different outfits that are modest in price but bold in fashion taste. Do you like her style? For only a few dollars her look can be yours.
Topshop – Polka-Dot Tiered Midi Dress
Here’s another example of the Duchess of Cambridge dressing modestly. In 2013, Kate Middleton wore a simple black-and-white polka-dot dress from Topshop. In the UK, Topshop is widely seen as an everyday and accessible store for everyday people.
For only $40, women can buy the exact dress worn by royalty. Kate Middleton is often seen as relatable by British citizens due to her easygoing and frugal spending habits. Still, it doesn’t stop her looking amazing.
L.K. Bennett – Sledge Leather Pumps, $345
Ok, so at the end of the day, the Duchess of Cambridge will one day be Queen. Why shouldn’t she splash out every now and then? Here, we can see Kate Middleton wearing L.K. Bennett shoes – notably, their ‘Sledge’ pumps.
The popular shoes are worth a pretty penny, coming in at $345. Still, every girl loves a pair of shoes and she has been seen wearing them on multiple occasions. We think they look great with this dress.
Kate Spade – Red Tassel Earrings, $69
Kate Middleton certainly knows how to make a splash with a modest budget. Over time, the Duchess has worn many items from Kate Spade. Some of her most popular accessories are these colorful red tassel earrings. For only $69, she knows how to rock them without spending too much money on her fashion.
2017 wasn’t the first time that Kate Middleton wore something from Kate Spade. Later that year, she wore a polka-dot dress by the same designer during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement announcement.
Aritzia – Lawson Trench Coat, $248
Meghan Markle is a massive fan of Aritzia and the trench coat they produce. This Canadian-based chain had its moment in the British limelight after the future Duchess wore it to the UK team trials for the Invictus Games.
As well as their Lawson Trench Coat, Meghan has also been spotted in a burgundy dress by the same fashion retailer. We imagine the Canadian company earned quite a few new British fans after this! Do you like it?
Jenny Packham – Polka-Dot Print Surplice Wrap Dress
What do you wear when you know every single media outlet will be taking your picture? In 2013, Kate Middleton wore this modest dress only hours after giving birth to her first child, Prince George.
Usually, the Duchess wears more formal Jenny Packham dresses that she reserves for official events. This time around, the new mother kept her fashion cool and relaxed. We forgive her – she had just given birth, after all!
Zara – Crystal Collar Necklace
It’s not just the dresses and shoes that people love to look at: what about the jewelry? Amazingly, the future Queen has a soft spot for high street staple Zara. In December 2013, Kate wore this necklace which is only worth $68 – not bad for a Duchess!
Recently, Kate Middleton has been seen wearing the necklace from the Spanish retailer that she saves for casual occasions. Once again, it is an example of how down-to-Earth the Duchess appears. She represents someone who can inspire people to buy everyday items.
Adina Reyter – 14k Gold 3 Diamond Earrings, $598
Unlike her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle will often be seen sporting glamorous and expensive items. You can take the girl out of Hollywood, but you can’t take the Hollywood out of the girl! Here, the Duchess is seen in Gold earrings by Adina Reyter.
The pair of earrings had three diamonds encrusted into them in a triangular formation, making a subtle addition to the fashion choice. For $300, these earrings can be yours. Would you wear similar items?
Erdem – Velvet Long-Sleeve Dress
Kate Middleton can often be seen in Erdem – the Canadian and Turkish designer. The last time we saw her in an Erdem dress was in January 2018, when she was seen pregnant with Prince Louis.
Despite being heavily pregnant at the time, the Duchess wore a formal dress and high heels during a royal visit to Sweden. Even though rules are sometimes relaxed, we expect the future Queen to carry out her duties!
Alexander McQueen – Classic Blazer
Meghan Markle has always been a fan of Alexander McQueen. Since entering the spotlight in 2017, we have seen her in many outfits from the designer. In fact, many thought her wedding dress would be a McQueen.
Always a fan of the overall aesthetic, here we can see Markle wearing a classic Italian blazer. You can buy a similar item for the same price. Do you like the look she has here?
Catbird – Catbird Threadbare Ring, $44
In a rare show of modesty, Meghan Markle can be seen here wearing a subtle Catbird ring worth $44. In February 2018, she was seen wearing a Threadbare Ring during a trip to Scotland. As well as this, the Duchess also wrapped a variety of fabulous rings to match.
The 14k gold ring is from Catbird – a Brooklyn-based jewelry brand that has received a lot of attention ever since. For under $50, you can also own a ring worn by the British Royal Family.
Krewe – Sunglasses
The best thing about Meghan Markle is the undoubtedly American style she brings to the Royal Family. Often Meghan has been spotted with Prince Harry wearing a pair of Krewe sunglasses. These black frames have subtle gold accents around the edges.
Together, the two looked absolutely amazing. Sales for these particular glasses spiked after their trip to the Sydney Harbor in 2018. If you are thinking of getting sunglasses this summer, consider matching these stylish Royals.
Stella McCartney – Stella McCartney Black Falabella Flap Wallet, $300
It’s quite normal for members of the Royal Family to accessorize with additional items outside conventional gowns. During International Women’s Day in March, a pregnant Meghan was holding this $300 dollar flap wallet by Stella McCartney.
Royals don’t carry money or identification with them, so who knows what she keeps in there? We think it’s probably a bit of makeup to touch up her eyes now and then! Do you like the bag?
Superga – 2750 Cotu Canvas Trainers, $70
Usually, Royals are not supposed to wear trainers or sneakers. Over the years, this protocol has been relaxed as the Firm experiences more modernizing. When the Duchess is out traveling, she can often be seen in shows like these.
This classic shoe is one of her favorites – known as the ‘2750 Cotu’. This photo was taken during a 2016 tour of Canada, before walking onto a ship in Victoria Harbor. Do you like these modest shoes?
J. Crew – Earrings, $68
Proving that the Duchess is consistent with her brands, here we can see Kate Middleton wearing some amazing J. Crew earrings. The best thing about these is how affordable they are at only $68 dollars.
We think the Duchess of Cambridge wore them at the Festival of Remembrance. Now, you can own the same earrings as a real-life Duchess! Would you get these? We think they’re the perfect addition to most outfits for both casual and formal settings.
Carolina Herrera – Layered Long Dress
Meghan Markle wore this amazing patterned gown by Carolina Herrera during a royal visit to Morocco. Interestingly, it wasn’t the first time she wore an item by the designer. The Duchess wore a pale pink ensemble in June 2018, as well as a belted denim outfit the following month by the same brand.
Fans of Markle can get their own versions of Carolina Herrera clothes if they like what they see. For the rest of her life, the Duchess of Sussex will influence millions of people.
Manolo Blahnik – Heels
Sometimes, the Duke and Duchess like to dress casually. For these occasions – like when they attended the Investiture of the founder of Education for All – Markle can be seen here in a tailored shirt. It was tailored for the occasion and looks amazing.
Every so often Markle likes to wear chilled, chic items that would look good on any of us. Something like this can be yours – if you’re willing to spend the $625 on it.
Alice and Olivia, The Heron Slipper – Blazer and Birdies, $485 and $120
Just because it’s the same event, it doesn’t mean that Royals are restricted to one outfit! During the same trip, the Duchess can be seen wearing a navy blazer by Alice and Olivia as well as her favorite flats – made by The Heron Slipper.
Usually, members of the Royal Family have to wear heels when conducting official engagements. Occasional exceptions are allowed – and pregnancy is one of them! We still think she looks great.
Valentino – Clutch
A few days after their trip to Education for All, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can be seen here in Casablanca. Meghan Markle looks amazing in a Valentino cape red dress. As well as the dress, she also carried a Valentino Garavani clutch to keep any additional items she may need.
We couldn’t track down this exact item, but if you want to own a clutch similar to this, we found another which can rack in at $3,295. Do you have the cash lying around to spend? If so, then go for it!
Cuyana – Weekend bag, $395
What do you when you’re a Royal and find yourself going away? Just because she’s now a Duchess, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t pack her own bags! As we can see here, Markle chose a leather weekender by Cuyana.
This particular photo is from February 2019, when the Duchess flew to New York to celebrate a baby shower for her future child. Markle broke another protocol by doing this, but we can’t imagine she cares too much.
Tamara Mellon – Boots, $695
A Duchess must always be seen in heels, as we’ve explained in previous posts. Here is no exception, as we can see her in these stylish Tamara Mellon boots suitable for evening wear with friends.
She is on her way to dinner at The Polo Bar and is also in Hatch Jeans wearing a Stella McCartney bag. We think she looks amazing! The boots can be yours for just $695 – would you invest that much in them?
Stuart Weitzman – Pumps, $398
It was all go for the Duchess during her trip to New York! The weekend baby shower was an amazing event full of friends and family. For her party on the other side of the pond, Markle wore nude Stuart Weitzman pumps.
We love how they pop when contrasted with other dark clothes she’s wearing at the same time. For just under $400, these items can be yours.
Sarah Flint – Marina Boots, $695
It’s been a busy time for The Duke and Duchess, flying around the world with new royal engagements. Well, when the couple was in Bristol, UK, this February, Markle could be seen wearing these amazing boots.
The Sarah Flint Marina boots go for around $695 and have seen a spike in sales ever since Markle wore them in public. Would you buy these designer items? Well, now you can!
Monica Vinader – Earrings, $195
For more formal occasions, the Duchess of Cambridge is often seen in these Monica Vinader set of Siren earrings. With a glow of gold and striking green, they’re perfect for fancy dinners or events.
For less than $200, you can buy your own set of earrings that will be sure to impress anyone who sees them. The 18ct Gold Plated Vermeil looks amazing while wrapped around some Sterling silver. Monica Vinader offers free delivery on all orders in the US.
Strathberry – Bi-Color Bag
Back to Meghan Markle, and we can see how she looks amazing sporting this handbag. As you can see by her tartan coat, Meghan Markle was visiting Scotland only a few weeks after her engagement was announced.
As soon as Markle wore this Strathberry bag, the British press went crazy about her fashion. Immediately, fans of hers rushed to buy their own version of the $775 bag. We think the glamor she brings with her will make her the perfect Royal!
MOTHER – The Looker Frayed Ankle Skinny Jeans, $228
Here, we can see the future Duchess of Sussex enjoying a casual day in the sun. This photo was taken during the 2017 Invictus Games in Canada, before the couple we wedded. Amazingly, her influence at the time caused them to sell out almost immediately.
Now that Markle is part of the Royal Family, we will rarely see her in casual attire. Certain exceptions can be made during pregnancy, but soon it will be back to dresses and heels! Do you like these jeans?
Reiss – Lace Detail Dress
Kate Middleton practically broke the internet with this lace dress from 2011. Just before she was to marry her Prince, Middleton wore a neutral sheath when meeting the Obama family. It was during this visit that a photo of the future Queen and First Lady was snapped.
Kate Middleton has often worn Reiss. You might remember her long-sleeved navy dress for her official engagement portrait? Turns out it was the same brand! She must save Reiss and their fashion designs for special occasions.
Temperley London – Striped Lace Gown
Even though the Duchess may be a frugal spender, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t wear amazing dresses for special occasions. Here, we can see the Duchess in a Temperley London dress worth almost $750. The photo was snapped during a 2016 royal tour of India.
Of course, the Royal Family is expected to fashion formal and glamorous outfits during an official visit to a country. Anything less would be offensive! If you have the spare cash, a similar dress can be yours.
J. Crew – Wrap Coat
J. Crew is one of the brands that is lucky enough to be worn by both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Here, we can see the Duchess of Sussex sporting a wrap coat worth $268 – a fairly modest price considering what she usually wears.
The navy coat with its white contrast lines is immediately recognizable and caused the fashion store to instantly sell out once seen in the British media. Fans of the Duchess quickly ordered it online and can be seen all over the streets of London!
