Keith Flint, Lead Singer of The Prodigy, Dies

Keith Flint, the frontman of British band The Progidy, has been found dead at his home. He was 49.

Speaking to reporters, an Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8.10am on Monday, March 4.

“We attended and sadly a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.”

Police confirm his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The Prodigy formed in 1990 by the band’s keyboardist and songwriter, Liam Howlett. Throughout the 1990s, the band evolved from an underground rave band into a British icon in mainstream music.

Their biggest hits include Firestarter and Breathe – both in 1996. In total, The Prodigy has six number one albums.

With fame, Keith Flint became an iconic figure in and of himself due to his vibrant hair and noticeable tattoos and piercings. He performed with passion and enthusiasm to adoring fans. Fans around the world are expressing their sadness on social media.
